Ecobuild China introduces UK pavilion

ASIA - UBM’s Ecobuild is returning for its third edition co-locating with Expo Build, in the form of a UK pavilion and a green building pavilion.

The event will be held on 31 March – 3 April 2014 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The organisers expect the 2014 event to surpass recent editions, attracting 15,000 visitors to Ecobuild, and a total of 50,000 and 500 exhibitors to the combined event.

UBM launched Ecobuild China in 2012, derived from the UK’s green building and new energy trade fair, and also launched an edition in India.

“It will combine the latest innovative technologies and products in sustainable architectural design, along with a host of cutting-edge conferences, as well as practical applications featuring the suppliers of products and solutions for sustainable buildings and green technologies,” said a UBM spokesman.

The organiser also expects a large academic delegation from the UK to attend, including the British Research Establishment, the Chartered Institute of Building, and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The Hotel Plus - Mockup Hotel Room Show will also be held concurrently with Expo Build, showcasing decorative art and material technologies in hotel space design, through six demonstration suites in hotel guest rooms onsite across 1,000sqm.

UBM recently reported a revenue rise in its emerging markets portfolio.
