Australasian Oil and Gas to merge with Subsea Australasia in 2014

AUSTRALASIA - The Australian arm of Diversified Business Communications has revealed the Subsea Australasia Conference will merge with its Australian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) for the first time in 2014.

The AOG event director, Bill Hare, said the merging of events will enhance the delegate experience by offering more content and a greater range of sessions with subsea streams incorporated into AOG. Hare added the Subsea Australia Conference, a joint initiative between Subsea Energy Australia, Subsea UK and the Society for Underwater Technology will cease to exist in name only.

“In addition to conference streams on Australian industry participation, safety, resourcing, operations and maintenance, marine supply base and logistics and productivity, there will be dedicated Subsea streams within the AOG conference. These will explore new advances, challenges and solutions facing field development, subsea pipelines, FLNG, well management and oceans and sediments,” said Hare.

According to the organiser, AOG has become Australia’s largest oil and gas event and the only exhibition of its kind to attract over 15,000 visitors. The event is expected to exhibit more than 500 companies on 19-21 February 2014 at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Earlier this year, AOG received an international endorsement from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, UFI.
