Reed Exhibitions continues expansion in China with new partner

ASIA - Reed Exhibitions has partnered with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai Sub-Council (CPIT), expanding its global reach in Asia.

Both parties have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), to forge a working alliance, and help boost exhibition trade.

"CPIT Shanghai's strength is in promoting trade, investment and cooperation, as well as in promoting mutual understanding and friendship between Shanghai and other parts of the world,” said CPIT vice chairman, Wang Lie.

“Our vision fits squarely with Reed’s as we both strive to become industry leaders, by delivering excellent events that are current and comprehensive. I look forward to working together to develop new ways for CPIT to extend its international reach with and through Reed."

Nat Wong, president of Reed Exhibitions Greater China, said the organiser has witnessed an increased drive in the local exhibition market, coupled with rising expectations from its participants.

"To ensure that Reed can embrace the challenges of operating in an intensely competitive industry, we need to forge strategic relationships with partners who share the same values, ambition and dedication to quality as we do.”

Reed continues to seek strong global partners, recently partnering with venue and organiser ShanghaiMart, and Australian organiser Expertise Events.
