Messe Frankfurt partners with Proposte for Shanghai textile event

WORLD - Messe Frankfurt has partnered with Italian furnishing fabrics show Proposte to host a pavilion at a Chinese trade fair, expanding its European portfolio venture into the Asian market.

The German organiser will host a Proposte China Pavilion at the Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles show, scheduled for 27-29 August, following the organiser’s partnership with Italian textile exhibitions Milano Unica at its Beijing fabrics expo in March.

“There is a growing demand for high-grade products in the Asian market," said Messe Frankfurt executive board member, Detlef Braun. He said the partnership will further expand the international segment at the Shanghai fair, making it more attractive for local buyers. “Now, with the co-operation agreed with Proposte, we aim to continue on this successful course and attract more high-grade European manufacturers to the Asian market.”

More than 25 European furniture fabric manufacturers will exhibit in the new Proposte China Pavilion.

“The time has come for Proposte to open its doors in other countries,” said Proposte president Mauro Cavelli.
