Record visitor numbers at InfoComm China

ASIA - Organiser InfoCommAsia has hailed its annual professional audiovisual show a success, after it attracted a 20 per cent annual visitor number rise.

A record 19,431 visitors attended InfoComm China 2013, claimed the organiser. The show was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on 10-12 April.

"We are really thrilled by this year's success, as it once again proved companies in China are recognising the importance of professional AV in providing a competitive edge to their businesses,” said the show’s general manager Richard Tan.

The show expanded from four halls to six this year, with an exhibition area of 35,000sqm hosting more than 300 exhibiting companies.

The event hosted a summit program including InfoComm University Seminars, Industry Tracks and the Manufacturers' Presentation. The organiser claimed the programme drew 2,367 participants, a 53 per cent increase.

The ninth edition of InfoComm China will return to the China National Convention Center on 9-11 April 2014. The organiser has "promised an even bigger show next year", hoping to occupy the entire China National Convention Center.

InfoComm International has also launched an edition of its association event for the Middle East, Africa and Gulf region.
