Record visitor numbers claimed at Istanbul Jewelry Show

EUROPE - UBM Rotaforte has claimed a record attendance of nearly 27,000 people for its 36th Istanbul Jewelry Show held in March.

Show figures found that visitors were up 30 per cent from last year, with 19 per cent coming from overseas, representing 110 countries.

"The rise in exhibitor numbers, exhibition space and number of visitors this year not only confirms the fair's international status but also highlights Istanbul's important role in the global jewellery trade,” said UBM Rotaforte MD Sermin Cengiz. “We are more confident than before that we are on the road to become the leading show in the jewellery industry globally.

“We heartily thank the jewellery industry of Turkey, which empowers us with the big moves they have made in exports in recent years and now compete with the giants of the world.”
