Montgomery celebrates printing and packaging event success with new show launch

AFRICA - Montgomery ECO is launching a new version of the printing, packaging and plastics exhibition Propak Africa, aimed for the East African market.

The organiser claims the event attracted over 500 exhibitors and more than 12,900 visitors earlier this month at Expo Centre in Johannesburg.

The new show Propak East joins the portfolio of events currently launched in Nigeria, Cape Town and Johannesburg. It will be held on 1-3 April 2014 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi, and expects to attract 100 local and international companies.

“It is clear that our clients are greatly interested in the East African region and this event will provide them with a trusted platform,” said Montgomery’s business development manager Alexander Angus. “With four events throughout Africa now, Propak is a trusted brand that is known throughout the continent and internationally,” he added.

The last 12 months have seen the organiser’s portfolio of events in the region swell with the launch of Electra Mining and African food show Hostex East Africa.

In addition, Montgomery expanded its African operations with Kenya-based company Event and Conference Organisers ECO last year, with a view to running shows in Kenya and the surrounding East African countries.
