FESPA hails first Sao Paulo show a success

AMERICAS - FESPA claims to have exceeded visitor figures with its first Brazil event for the screen printing, digital and textile printing community.

The inaugural show attracted 13,184 visitors (unaudited). It was held on 13-16 March at the Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo.

A FESPA spokesman said the success of the show (co-located with ExpoPrint Digital) was underlined by the extent of exhibitor rebookings, with 70 per cent of the existing floor plan already reserved for the next show in March 2015.

“FESPA Brasil has been an exceptional launch, surpassing all our expectations in terms of visitor numbers for a launch show,” FESPA’s MD Neil Felton said. “The show kicked off a spectacular showcase of print and provides us with clear evidence that FESPA can expand into new geographical markets already served by established events and - with a unique content-led approach - deliver something that adds value and attracts visitors in high numbers and calibre."

Highlights of the show included the International Congress of Visual Communication and Digital Printing technical sessions, and demonstrations from Charlie Taublieb, a member of the Academy of Screen Printing Technology, showcasing practical garment decoration techniques including screen printing, spraying effects and adding embellishments.

Last year FESPA expanded its screen printing and digital wide format printing event portfolio with the launch of FESPA China, to be held on 18-20 November 2013.
