AMERICAS - Galen Poss, COO of DMG Events in the US, has taken over from Clarion CEO Simon Kimble as chairman of the Global Event Summit.
“Galen was a big hit among delegates as a speaker in 2011,” said Summit managing director Trevor Foley. “He was the former chairman's number-one choice to succeed him and I'm absolutely delighted that Galen has said yes.”
Poss said: “I am both honoured and delighted to be serving as the 2013 Global Event Summit Chairman. [These are] big shoes to fill following two great years of leadership by Simon Kimble, but I am committed to the success of this year’s program and to expanding North American participation in the Summit.”
Now in its fifth year, the Global Event Summit, a tfconnect event, is aimed at CEO and board level delegates in the Events industry.
This year’s event runs from 4-6 September and is taking place in the resort location of The Oitavos, near Lisbon in Portugal.
