SIA introduces snow equipment sourcing show

AMERICAS – This year’s SIA Snow Show, organised by SnowSports Industries America, will be preceded by a sourcing event aimed at suppliers for snow sports equipment manufacturers.

The new SIA Sourcing Snow trade show will start one day prior to the Snow Show at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, and runs from 30 January to 1 February, showcasing the top component and textile suppliers essential to snow sports brands.

It will conclude with the annual 2013 Snow Fashion & Trends Show acting as the official opening event and “Welcome to Denver” party for all Snow Show Attendees.

SIA Snow Show 2013 brings together more than 19,000 attendees from the snow sports world including suppliers, retailers, reps, athletes, media and professionals. The event will feature more than 1,000 snow sports brands across 31,000sqm of exhibition space including 106 exhibitors new to the show, or returning after a hiatus.

The show has developed a reputation not only for new products and meetings, but as the stage of after-show parties, events and gatherings such as the Never Summer SOS Ice Hockey Shootout on Wednesday, 30 January.

“There’s no doubt the social and networking aspect of the Snow Show is at the top of the list - this is where the whole industry gathers together once a year. Some of these relationships go back 10, 20 even 30 years,” commented SIA president David Ingemie.
