MEBA event given royal seal of approval

MIDDLE EAST - Tarsus’ F&E Aerospace division is expecting about 7,000 visitors for its upcoming Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) event in Dubai.

The MEBA trade fair takes place from 11 to 13 December at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport and will feature 60 business aircrafts. The last show in 2010 attracted 6,200 visitors, 338 exhibitors and more than 500 VIPs.

MEBA organisers are confident they will see an increase in numbers and have invited senior ministers and regional royalty directly through Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the uncle of the current ruler of Dubai, SheikhMohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“We are putting in a lot of time to ensure we attract a certain calibre of individuals,” said MEBA aerospace director Michele Van Akelijen.

“We take great pleasure in offering the perfect platform for exhibitors and visitors to meet with all the right people to discuss a possible purchase for their company or how they can charter aircraft on an ad hoc basis.

“MEBA comes around just once every two years so I urge anyone interested in this growing aspect of aviation to attend.”

Dubai will host the International Destination Expo in April 2013, hosted by the American Society of Travel Agents.
