EUROPE - Diversified Business Communications will launch a German geoclone of its UK-based Service Desk and IT Support Show in Germany next year.
The new show will be held on 24-25 September 2013 in Berlin and will run in partnership with Messe Berlin. It will be modelled on the UK edition, which Diversified acquired from VCM Events last May.
The organiser claimed a 13 per cent visitor increase this year, its first after acquiring Service Desk and IT Support Show UK. The event has been running for 19 years.
According to event manager Laura Venables, Germany is one of the largest markets for the IT Service Management (ITSM) sector but hasn’t had a dedicated trade show servicing the industry.
“The driving force behind the idea has come directly from the industry and it has been tailored specifically to meet the needs of the German market,” she explained. “The organisers we’ve been working with for the past six months all agree there is a huge gap for an effective event like this, which is much more business-focused than the more traditional conference models.”
The new geoclone will be managed from the Diversified UK office and supported by a dedicated team at Messe Berlin, which will liaise with exhibitors and assist with marketing to the private and public sector.
The Service Desk and IT Support Show is aimed at businesses looking to source new technology, services, suppliers and solutions and features a conference and education programme.
Diversified successfully launched its Lunch! exhibition in Sydney on 6-7 August, attracting 3,674 trade buyers from the food and drink to-go industry.
