IECA teams up with Socialwalk to promote Indonesia in exhibition market

ASIA - The Indonesian Exhibition Companies Association (IECA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with business matching company Socialwalk to promote the exporting of Indonesian products and services through exhibitions.

More than 44,000 suppliers have used Socialwalk’s business matching service to meet overseas buyers and distributors. Last year, Socialwalk facilitated more than 25,000 matches, worth US$432m of trade. Global trade show organisers and trade associations in seven countries also use the service at their events and B2B trade shows.

The agreement was confirmed at an event in the presence of the deputy director for multilateral cooperation at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Rizki Handayani.

During the event industry experts Steve Monnington, the MD of Mayfield Media Strategies and Tony Chang from Reed Panorama Exhibitions, shared their insights on strategies to enhance exhibitions.

"Next year will be an amazing year for our exhibition industry,” claimed IECA executive director Wini Yoniton.

“Our relationship with Socialwalk will bring benefits to our industry players, exhibitors and buyers.”
