Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre overhauls swimming and sports events

EUROPE - The Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre has relabelled its BAD and IDA trade fairs, aimed at anyone involved in swimming pool and sports–related activities in municipalities, federations and associations.

The Meeting for Sports Arenas and Facilities is the new collective name for the BAD and IDA trade fairs.

In addition to the exhibition, the event will now offer a broad programme of talks on everything from ‘Swedish elite sports’ to ‘Rusting stainless steel baths’, as well as information on sauna lifestyle.

“At the entrance to the exhibition centre there will also be a series of short exhibitor talks given on the open stage, including one by Sveriges Poolproducenter, which is a new partner company,” said exhibition manager Magdalena Rönström. “There will also be a fashion roadshow that will hopefully help to lighten the autumn gloom.”

The Meeting for Sports Arenas and Facilities takes place on 20-22 November.

The Göteborg Book Fair was recently used as a stage for a rally organised by Swedish journalists Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye, who were released from an Ethiopian prison last month.
