Latin American energy event builds for second edition

AMERICAS - The organiser of the IFT Energy 2013 exhibition and conference has confirmed the dates for the second edition of the event.

IFT Energy 2013, aimed at companies looking to solve Latin America’s electrical energy challenges, will be held 17-19 April, 2013 in Santiago, Chile. The event is organised by Kallman Worldwide.

Exhibitors include companies displaying new technology, products and services, all hoping to attract thousands of visitors to the Espacio Riesco exhibition venue.

A spokesman for Kallman said an “unprecedented increase in industrial processes, such as mining, has increased demand for electrical power in Latin America to a level never seen before”. This growth is spurring major investment throughout the region in electric generation, transmission and distribution, including renewable energy.

On this basis Kallman hopes to draw exhibitors from energy sectors including wind, solar, hydro-power, geothermal, coal, LNG, oil, and nuclear technology electrical energy solution providers, as well as support services, investment organisations, and research institutions. Thirty-five countries were represented at the debut edition.

The company is currently working on this year’s conference and business session schedule.

Reed Exhibitions is launching its All-Energy renewable energy expo series in North America next year.
