Water supply expo launches in Myanmar

ASIA - Myanmar is hosting its first international water and wastewater industry exhibition and conference on 5-7 November 2013.

Organised by AMB Exhibitions, a member of the United Media Group, Myanwater 2013 takes place at the Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall in Yangon. The event is supported by the Myanmar Engineering Society and the Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs’ Association, and is expected to attract 5,000 trade visitors.

The exhibition is set to address the pressing need for potable water supply, industrial wastewater management and sewerage treatment. A spokesman for the company said that as Myanmar continues its new economic and democratic policies, a new frontier for technology and services suppliers is emerging.

Myanwater 2013 will feature more than 150 participating companies and brands, a water and wastewater conference focusing on challenges and solutions for Myanmar’s water sector, and concurrently-held technology symposiums presenting new technologies and products for the industry.

It is expected to attract city councils, water supply companies, civil engineering consultants, factory owners, sewerage companies, architects, real estate developers, and other related industry professionals.

AMB Exhibition is organising a number of events in Southeast Asia this year, including International Energy Week in Borneo, Camfood 2012 in Cambodia and Greenbuild Asia in Malaysia.
