Reed launches All-Energy in North America

AMERICAS - Reed Exhibitions is launching its All-Energy renewable energy expo series in North America next year.

The first All-Energy Canada takes place on 2-3 October 2013 at Exhibition Place, Toronto, Ontario, following successful events in the UK and Australia. Ontario is Canada’s most populous province.

Reed acquired All-Energy, the UK’s largest renewable energy exhibition and conference, in July 2011 and took a majority share in All-Energy Australia (pictured) in early 2012. It is now expanding into the North American renewables market.

Reed refers to the All-Energy parent show, held in Aberdeen, Scotland every year since 2001, as “the AGM of the UK renewables industry” and claims it attracts a total of 8,300 visitors with nearly 600 exhibiting companies and 300 speakers.

The Canadian event is being held in association with the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA), and like the two other All-Energy events, will encompass all aspects of renewable and sustainable energy, combining a major exhibition and a topical conference.

President of the OSEA board Dr David DeYoe says: “OSEA is thrilled that Reed Exhibitions has chosen to collaborate with us for this continent’s All-Energy. Clearly they recognise the important role that OSEA has played in shaping the sustainable energy agenda in Ontario and in providing a positive influence in the balance of North America.

“The All-Energy event model has been successful in both the UK and Australia, and together we will make it a success here.”

Reed claims developing All-Energy Canada with OSEA is an important step in securing its position in the North American alternative energy market.

“What’s more it is a key element of our global renewable energy strategy, the expansion of which was a deciding factor when acquiring All-Energy,” said exhibition director, renewable and alternative energy global group, Reed Exhibitions, Jonathan Heastie.

Reed’s portfolio of global alternative energy events includes World Smart Energy Week (Tokyo), World Future Energy Summit (Abu Dhabi), Asia Future Energy Forum (Singapore), and Fenesucro & Agrocana (Sertăozinho, Brazil).

More than 165,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors attended the 18 Reed Exhibitions’ alternative energy events in 2011.
