ADIPEC to become an annual event from 2013

MIDDLE EAST - The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) has confirmed its international petroleum exhibition and conference will become an annual event from 2013.

The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), the largest event for the industry in the Middle East, began as a biennial event in 1984 as a platform for oil and gas professionals to network, discover new ideas and debate core industry issues.

Abu Dhabi sits at the heart of the oil and gas industry, with ADIPEC playing a significant role in positioning the UAE capital as a key destination for this sector. More than 1,600 exhibitors and 45,000 attendees have attended the event to-date.

The 2013 edition of ADIPEC, which takes place in November, will have a strong focus on gas, reflecting its increasing share of the global energy mix and heightened regional gas demand for power generation.

"ADNEC is looking forward to welcoming the next edition of ADIPEC," said ADNEC's chief sales and marketing officer Humaid Al Dhaheri. "Just as the show has become internationally renowned, so ADNEC and our venue has grown to match the increasing needs of the event with the most modern facilities and technology."

ADIPEC is held under the patronage of UAE president His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and organised by DMG Events.
