EUROPE - Spain’s secretary of state for Telecommunications and the Information Society has assumed the presidency of the SIMO Network Organizing Committee.
Víctor Calvo-Sotelo’s appointment is a significant endorsement for both SIMO Network, the international ICT services and solutions fair, and the business sector it aims to serve.
The congress representative for Zamora in Spain, Calvo-Sotelo is also a civil engineer with an MBA from Insead and has been a professor at UCLA.
SIMO Network 2012, organised by IFEMA, will be held from 25 to 27 September at Feria de Madrid. The event’s primary objective is to show the potential of ICT technologies as a key competitiveness factor for the different professional sectors.
This year the exhibition will feature technology for justice, the first time this industry has been invited to the fair. It will have a specific exhibition area and personalised conference and activities programme, promoting discussion about the technological advances being made by the Ministry of Justice to improve the public justice system.
