Lee-Muller takes top role at HKCEC Management Company

ASIA - Monica Lee-Muller will take on the role of MD of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre's (HKCEC) managing and operating company, HKCEC Management (HML), with effect from 1 July 2012.

Lee-Muller has held the position of deputy MD since 2007, and was formerly the HML's director of business development. During her 18-year tenure Lee-Muller has helped the team to secure numerous exhibitions and conventions.

She also serves on the HML executive leadership committee and is a well-known face in both Hong Kong's and the wider international events industry, regularly taking the stage at international exhibition forums and events. She holds several other industry positions including being a board member of the Ocean Park Corporation and serving on the advisory board of The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

UFI hall-of-famer Cliff Wallace, who served as the HML's MD for 17 years and will remain a board member of HML, will now focus his attention on developer NWS Holdings' venue development programme in China.

The 930 staff at HML manage and operate the HKCEC under an operation agreement with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).
