Reed says new venue bringing more business to Aluminium show

EUROPE - The Aluminium World Trade Fair has claimed an increase in exhibition space at its new venue ahead of this year’s October show.

The event, to be held at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre, Germany, from 9 to 11 October, will feature 750 exhibitors from 40 countries.

Organiser Reed Exhibitions says the 75,000sqm exhibition space is up 20 per cent from the last event in Essen in 2010.

For the first time, the show will be offering hands-on displays of innovative products in a number of special areas. These include the Automotive Innovation show in Hall 10, the Solar Area in Hall 11 and Building Solutions in Hall 13. The Foundry Pavilion in Hall 10 will have about 30 exhibitors.

Five ‘national’ pavilions are planned - China, Denmark, Holland, France and a Scandinavian pavilion.

Reed Exhibitions won international backing for its Aluminium China show last year, with 76 per cent more overseas visitors than the previous event.
