UKIP partners with Stuttgart for auto shows until 2014

EUROPE – Landesmesse Stuttgart has signed a deal with a UK company for the continued delivery of international automotive trade fairs in the Stuttgart region.

UKIP Media and Events, the organiser of the Automotive Expo Shows, has extended its contract with Landesmesse Stuttgart by a further three years to 2014. The Automotive Expo Shows have been held in the state capital of Baden-Württemberg since 2001.

More than 500 exhibitors are presenting their products relating to automobiles at the 2012 Automotive Expo Show, which runs from 12 to 14 June 2012. UKIP expects 10,000 people from 60 countries to attend the trade fair, which covers an area of 31,400sqm.

The events comprise Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo, Vehicle Dynamics Expo, Automotive Testing Expo, Automotive Interiors Expo and Engine Expo.

“Thanks to its central location, the Stuttgart trade fair centre is an ideal venue for exhibitors and visitors,” said MD of UKIP Tony Robinson. “The direct proximity to Stuttgart Airport enables international visitors, who may only be able to spend one day at the Automotive Expo Shows, to walk from the aircraft to the Stuttgart trade fair site in just a few minutes, visit the trade fair and travel back home in the evening.

“The trade fairgrounds themselves offer a space concept, which is one of the best in Europe.”

A UKIP spokesman said one of the highlights of this year’s event is the electric and hybrid pavilion, where visitors can obtain information on the latest developments in the area of alternative motoring.

The events are accompanied by talks and discussions in the Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Forum and in the Open Technology Forum.
