EUROPE - Spain’s International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR has confirmed its next edition will recover its traditional slot in the events calendar.
The 2013 edition of the tourism event will take place on 30 January to 3 February.
According to Madrid venue and organiser IFEMA, the change of dates has been introduced at the “unanimous request” of the industry, given that tourism professionals consider this period more convenient for participation and more appropriate for product marketing.
A spokesman for FITUR said the event’s move means it will now occupy a strategic slot on the tourist industry calendar, allowing for the launch of exhibitor’s annual marketing campaigns.
The 2013 event will be the show’s 33rd edition.
