First Fastener Fair Hannover shows potential

EUROPE - Mack Brooks is reporting 4,500 visitors from 75 countries visited its first Fastener Fair Hannover in April.

The show, launched for the fastener and fixings industry with a particular focus on an end-user audience, attracted 400 exhibitors from 31 countries including Germany, Italy China, France, Great Britain, The Netherlands, Taiwan and Turkey.

Fastener Fair Hannover, held from 24 to 26 April in Hall 21 at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds, was co-located with industry fair Hannover Messe.

A group of Chinese protestors targeted this year’s Hannover Messe Fair, in response to China’s human rights policies.

“The first Fastener Fair Hannover was a successful launch and we are pleased with the outcome,” said exhibition director Susanne Rauberger.

“The exhibition survey clearly showed that for many companies the event was thoroughly successful. More than 80 per cent of the exhibitors had a positive overall impression of the event. However, we now have to further analyse how we can attract more trade visitors and improve the experience for all of the exhibiting companies.”

The next Fastener Fair in Germany will be Fastener Fair Stuttgart, which takes place on 26-28 February 2013 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds. Two thirds of the available exhibition space is already booked.
