EUROPE - UBM Live, organiser of the global IFSEC security and fire events, is extending its reach into Eastern Europe by joining forces on Euroindex’s Ukraine security event Bezpeka.
UBM will invest in the sales and marketing function to help broaden Bezpeka’s brand profile and position it as the strategic bridge between the EU and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) security industries.
With visa-free access from both the EU and CIS, Bezpeka represents a gateway for suppliers to access the lucrative Eastern European market.
UBM Live will use IFSEC’s established relationships to draw more international solution providers to the event, which takes place at Kiev Expo Plaza Exhibition Center in the Ukraine on 23–26 October 2012. IFSEC events operate in the UK, Europe, India, Saudi Arabia, South and West Africa and, most recently, Malaysia.
“We are thrilled to be working with Euroindex to power Bezpeka, which marks a significant step in IFSEC’sstrategy to globalise the security industry,” said IFSEC event director Charlie Cracknell.
“UBM will help shape this event to represent the complete market chain both through the exhibition and an accompanying international congress for the security market, providing premium knowledge exchange and education opportunities.”
Bezpeka attracts more than 8,000 security professionals and 160 exhibitors from eight countries, representing security technologies, business equipment and services, offices, residences and people.
Euroindex Valerii Pekar president underlined the importance of the joint venture.
“It will create a great momentum for Bezpeka Security to join the IFSEC family,” he said. “We will contribute with our local market knowledge and relationships to enhance the brand reach of the show and make ‘Bezpeka powered by IFSEC’ a truly international event for Eastern Europe and the CIS countries.”
ITE Group recently acquired Kiev-based exhibition organiser BeautexCo from BCI R&R for an undisclosed sum.
