EUROPE - Amsterdam RAI took out Best International Venue at Exhibition World’s sister publication Exhibition News’ sixth annual awards on 29 March at the new-look Olympia West Hall in London.
The awards were attended by 850 of the UK exhibition community’s finest, highlighting the strong position the Exhibition News Awards now holds in the industry calendar. The night kicked off with a networking drinks reception, followed by a three-course dinner and entertainment.
For the first time in the history of the awards, the Exhibition News Pioneer Award was presented to recognise one individual’s outstanding commitment to growing the exhibition industry. This year’s recipient, Roger Shashoua, was honoured for his incredible achievements in expanding the exhibition industry – from his establishment of ITE Group to his current efforts to help organisers protect and sell their brands internationally.
After dinner, master of ceremonies and multi-talented comedian Stewart Francis kicked off the highly-anticipated awards presentation. Winners were announced in 20 award categories including 10 people awards.
