Bella Center presents new sustainable energy fair

EUROPE – Denmark’s Bella Center is launching a new trade fair for sustainable energy in spring next year.

Energy Europe 2013 aims to bring together stakeholders in sustainable energy including manufacturers in the wind, solar and bio-energy power sectors, as well as research institutions and consulting firms.

Last year the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy presented an initiative titled ‘Energy Strategy 2050’, which includes a target of reducing the fossil fuel consumption in Denmark by a third by the end of 2020, and replacing these fuels with sustainable energy sources.

This political directive, and Denmark’s greater societal focus on the use of alternative energy, makes it the “perfect time to create an international show-case for sustainable energy”, said Bella Center sales and marketing director Jacob Schmidt.

“Our fair and exhibition business must serve as a knowledge and inspiration platform for our customers within their respective industries,” said Schmidt. “By bringing together the energy sector’s big and small players from Denmark and abroad, combined with our organising expertise, we provide a setting for increasing sales, forming strategic alliances and enhancing professional competencies.”

The debut edition of Energy Europe will focus on markets in Northern and Eastern Europe, to capitalise on the increasingly common use of sustainable energy sources.

Energy Europe 2013 will be held on 23-25 May at the Bella Center, Copenhagen.
