UBM taps NTSR to create Turkish launch platform

EUROPE - UBM has formed a strategic partnership with NTSR, a leading Turkish exhibition company, to create an operational and logistical hub for launching UBM’s products into Turkey and the wider region.
 
The deal, brokered by Mayfield Media, is hoped to help UBM bridge markets in Europe and Asia. NTSR is one of the best-known organisers in Turkey, with more than 30 years' experience.
 
A statement from UBM said Turkey is an attractive prospect for future launches due to its unique geographic and cultural position, fast-growing economy and relatively young but growing media market.
 
Industry analyst company AMR predicts it will grow at an annual rate of more than seven per cent to reach more than US$350m by 2014.

In an interview with EW last year, NTSR president Serkan Tiglioglu said the company was on the lookout for international partnerships for future exhibitions.

“We enter such partnerships after analysing the value created, and the advantages that can be provided,” he said. “Some of NTSR’s exhibitions created that effect and have been sustaining and reinforcing these partnerships for almost 15 years. We believe this is an indicator of the synergistic and successful job we accomplished.”
