First general aviation show begins in Abu Dhabi

MIDDLE EAST - The Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has officially launched the Abu Dhabi Air Expo at Al Bateen Executive Airport.

The exhibition, which opened today, and runs until 8 March is open from 10am to 5pm, featuring performances by the UAE’s Al Fursan aerobatic team (pictured), the Emirates Sky Diving team and aerobatic displays by Guinness world record holder Captain Zoltan Veres.

 In addition to the daily public performances, the Abu Dhabi Air Expo covers development and innovation for non-commercial aircraft, jets, helicopters, equipment, manufacturers, services, pilot training schools, accessories, avionics, insurance and financing.

The three-day event is expected to draw 3,000 visitors, including aviation players from across Gulf Arab states, Levant, Africa and Asia.

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company recently announced the launch of the ICC (International Convention Centre) in Abu Dhabi.
