Moscow stages IFES 2012 annual meeting

EUROPE - Russia’s Expocentre is to host the annual International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services (IFES) event in Moscow in June, which aims to provide analysis by experts and economists for new business opportunities in the industry.

The three-day exhibition (pictured), which takes place within the framework of the Sixth International Forum of Exhibition Industry, gives IFES members and delegates exposure to Russian exhibition industry leaders, as well as regional educational sessions, and sessions focused on the BRIC market.

The joint event uses four of Expocentre’s large exhibition halls on 6-8 June 2012, with one dedicated entirely to stands from IFES members and partners.

“We are all very enthusiastic about the fact IFES will hold the 2012 AGM in conjunction with the 5P Expo and the international congress and convention organised in partnership with Expocentre, our new member in the buoyant Russian and Moscow exhibition market,” said IFES president Bruno Meissner.

“We are looking forward to have a very well attended convention and exhibition from all over the globe.”

IFES 2012 was first proposed for Moscow in 2010 during an extraordinary general assembly in Ghent, Belgium and officially confirmed at the 2011 general assembly in Oxford, UK, on 17 June 2011.

Earlier this year the management of Expocentr Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow announced a new venue to be built on the outskirts of the city near Vnukovo airport.
