UK exhibition industry event moves to Paris

EUROPE – UK events company Tfconnect has confirmed its Global Event Summit (GES) will be held in Paris this year.

The first European-based event will take place from 4 to 6 September at Le Palais des Congres de Paris and will again be chaired by last year’s host, Clarion CEO’s Simon Kimble.

GES is aimed at organiser and venue CEOs and board-level representatives and will be restricted to 150 attendees.

“Now in its fourth year, it is time for the Summit to leave the UK, and it is the British delegates who have encouraged the move,” TfConnect MD Trevor Foley said. “Viparis' Florent Joncquiert-Latarget, having attended the 2011 event, has been very keen to ‘win’ the Summit for Paris and I am delighted to be working with him and Viparis.”

The programme includes strategic and business content as well as networking sessions. Last year’s three-day event was held at the Waldorf Astoria in Syon Park.

Earlier this month, Tfconnect signed a three-year partnership with Melville Exhibition and Event Services to provide event services. The contractor will also contribute to the summit’s programme agenda.
