Go Live Events to work on World Future Energy Summit

MIDDLE EAST - Bristol-based event management company Go Live Events will work alongside event giants Reed Exhibitions on the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) at ADNEC in Abu Dhabi on 16-19 January 2012.

The event brings together political, business, finance, academic and industry leaders to drive innovation, business and investment opportunities in response to the growing need for sustainable energy.

The team from Go Live will be responsible for bridging the gap between the technical production and the delivery of the programme.

The team’s task is to ensure that the summit programme and break out seminars are seamlessly executed and will be responsible for managing speakers and their green room.

This will be the third event in the new energy sector that Go Live will have been involved with in close succession. Firstly, the team worked alongside Turret Media on the sister event of WFES, the European Future Energy Forum (EFEF) in Geneva, after which they worked with Faversham House Group on the Edie Awards for Environmental Excellence.

The Abu Dhabi event is expected to attract 26,000 attendees, including 3,000 delegates, 650 exhibiting companies, and have 20 national pavilions.

WFES is held under the patronage of H.H General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. In previous years, ministers and dignitaries such as ex-PM Tony Blair, HRH Prince of Wales (as a hologram) and American President Barack Obama have made addresses at the summit.

Managing director of Go Live, Rob Uphill said" “This is a major achievement for Go Live both locally and internationally. We are very excited to be working with Reed Exhibitions and their team in Abu Dhabi and we very much see the World Future Energy Summit as a continuation of our growing portfolio of international events.”

The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) and Reed Travel Exhibitions’ Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meeting Exhibition (GIBTM) have announced a strategic partnership.
