ASIA – Thailand’s SET-listed Pico and Singaporean events organiser MP International have invested in Bangkok-based Asian Exhibition Services (AES) to bring new shows to Thailand and the surrounding region.
Event management company AES was launched this year in Bangkok by former Reed, Montgomery and Allworld executive David Aitken to serve both international organisers coming to Thailand and regional shows in Asia requiring international support.
Aitken’s past projects include ProPak Asia in Bangkok; Plastics and Rubber Vietnam as a joint venture with Messe Dusseldorf; the launch of NGV India in New Delhi and Mumbai and ASCOPE in Bangkok.
“The AES, Pico Thailand and MP International partnership will bring new business to the region and provide a highly professional solution to new players wanting to enter the market, as well as allowing new shows to flourish in Asia,” said Aitken.
Pico (Thailand) was formed in 1981 as a joint venture with Singapore investors, Pico Art International, a design and construction firm in the trade show and exhibition business. The Pico Group operates around the world through its 34 branches in 26 countries. MP International specialises in organising exhibitions, conferences and special events for various industries and interest groups.
