EEAA launches bi-annual research programme

AUSTRALASIA - The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) is beginning a research project to measure the health of the exhibition industry.

The EEAA Market Monitor, being conducted by research company Micromex, will be delivered every six months based on data collected from organisers, venues and suppliers. The aim is to build trend data and a portfolio of evidence to share with members and provide statistical information that supports marketing efforts.

“Most importantly, the research will provide the facts to inform our advocacy and industry leadership work,” said EEAA president Matthew Pearce.

“This is a long-awaited development and I am very pleased that in partnership with Micromex we will see the creation of a valuable ongoing piece of work that can be used to tell a better, stronger, more credible story about the exhibition industry.”

The first report will be delivered at the EEAA 2012 Leaders Forum in the first half of next year.

The winners of this year’s EEAA Awards for Excellence, held at Crystal Palace, Luna Park in Sydney (pictured), have been announced.

GM of EEAA Joyce DiMascio said the awards provide an excellent opportunity for businesses to showcase their expertise and commitment to the exhibition and event industry. “Our aim through these awards is to shine the light on individuals and teams, large and small shows, stand builders, and innovators in safety and sustainability initiatives,” she commented.
