EUROPE - TFConnect, organiser of the Global Event Summit (GES) has signed a deal with Restec, organiser of next year’s inaugural Europe and Asia Event Forum (EFEA).
Restec’s EFEA is being pitched as the first event of its kind for the Russian market, due to take place on 18–20 January 2012 at PetroCongress in St Petersburg.
Managing director of TFConnect Trevor Foley said: “The Russian market is of increasing interest to global organisers and I wanted to help Serguei Trofimov to draw the industry’s attention to The Europe and Asia Event Forum.”
Foley will speak at the event alongside the likes of Mack Brooks chairman Stephen Brooks, Management Events board member Håkan Gershagen and JWC CEO Jochen Witt.
Restec chairman Trofimov (pictured) added: “We have launched this event in order to introduce the Russian market to the rest of the world. Partnering with Global Event Summit is a good way of achieving this aim.”
Earlier this month St Petersburg’s ExpoForum acquired Lenexpo's entire portfolio of exhibitions, including trademarks and exhibition projects databases.
