MCEC director of sales elected to MEA National Board

AUSTRALASIA -  Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) director of sales and marketing, Anne Jamieson, has been elected to the Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) national board.

“After being elected to the MEA National Council last year, I am thrilled to have now been elected to the MEA National Board and look forward to working with other members again in 2012 to further develop MEA’s membership base,” said Jamieson.

Jamieson joined MCEC in June 2009 as director of sales and was promoted to director of sales and marketing in March 2010.

Managing a sales and marketing team of more than 20, she also works closely with the Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau to tailor proposals for national and international conventions and congresses.

MEA is an independent non-profit body dedicated to fostering professionalism and excellence in all aspects of meetings management. The role of the National Council is to provide strategic guidance to the association.

The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) has reported an increased demand for exhibitor space ahead of its 20th show next year.
