Diversified buys US medical brand Pri-Med

AMERICAS – Exhibition organiser Diversified Business Communications has purchased the Pri-Med brand and US-based assets from MC Holdings Corporation.
 
Pri-Med is a primary-care focused media network in the USA that serves doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and other care givers.
 
Diversified currently operates more than 20 primary care and medical specialty events in Canada under MD Bob Macgregor, who will partner with the returning management team to provide strategic direction for this new division.
 
At Pri-Med’s 50 annual live medical events, attendees can customise their own schedule by choosing from over 50 clinical lectures developed and presented by Harvard Medical School and other top medical institutions. 
 
Pri-Med’s founder, John Mooney, will rejoin Pri-Med as CEO with his former management team, Lynn Long and Dix Wheelock.

Pri-Med will operate as a division of Diversified and continue to be based in the Boston area.
 
Elsewhere, Diversified Exhibitions Australia is launching a new event in Perth focusing on Australia’s fast-growing AU$200bn (US$203.15bn) liquefied natural gas industry.
