Messe Munich International launches energy storage tradeshow

EUROPE - Messe Munich International is expanding its portfolio of technology events with the launch of a new trade show on energy.

Energy Storage begins as an annual event at the New Munich Trade Fair Center in autumn next year, running concurrently with the events electronica or productronica.

The exhibition takes place on 13-16 November2012 and covers the entire value chain in innovative battery and energy-storage technology, from components to manufacturing and applications. A congress lasting several days will accompany the trade show.

Deputy CEO of Messe Munich Norbert Bargmann said: "With Energy Storage we are offering an ideal basis for the market players already successful in this growing market and for those wishing to enter it.

“By holding it concurrently with the world´s leading trade fairs electronica or productronica – with their core emphasis on electronics or electronics production – this provides unique synergy effects and will attract significant numbers of attendees from Germany and abroad."

This year the German federal government adopted the new National Electromobility Development Plan, which aims to double allocated funding for e-mobility research to a sum of one billion euros by 2013.

Exhibitor numbers for Mack Brooks’ ICE Europe 2011 in Munich are up by 16 per cent year-on-year, with exhibition space increased by 22 per cent.
