Exhibitors up by 16 per cent at International Converting Expo

EUROPE - One hundred new exhibitors are set to feature at what Mack Brooks claims is the biggest ever exhibition showcasing equipment for the conversion of flexible materials.

Exhibitor numbers for ICE Europe 2011 are up by 16 per cent year-on-year, with exhibition space increased by 22 per cent. The exhibition will be held in Munich, Germany from 8 to 10 November.

In all, 380 exhibitors from 22 countries will be at the exhibition, which will focus on converting flexible materials, such as paper, film and foil. Forty three percent of exhibitors will come from outside Germany, with the majority coming from Italy, Great Britain, the USA, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France.

The show will take-up 9,800sqm at the Munich Trade Fair Centre.

“As the leading international trade show for the converting industry, ICE Europe is seen as a trend barometer by the converting community,” ICE Europe exhibition director Nicola Hamann said on behalf of organiser Mack Brooks.

Earlier this year, Mack Brooks UK announced a link-up with Emap UK to launch a range of international exhibitions.

A conference entitled “Sustainability in packaging – processes and materials” is being held alongside the exhibition on Wednesday 9 November.
