UK/JAPAN - The event telecoms division of IT and AV rental company DB Systems will provide temporary internet and telecommunication services to financial services exhibition Sibos.
Sibos, which tours the world, takes place in Japan in 2012. DB claims the tender came up as Sibos organisers felt the Japanese Intex Osaka venue has limited internet provision.
“We’ve already begun planning even though the event is 15 months away. We’ve carried out two site visits and are undertaking a third soon,” said DB Systems MD David Bulley.
“One of the most crucial aspects will be to ensure security. We will provide two connections to the site from different locations and different backbone suppliers. Each one will be able to handle 1GB bursts of information,” he added.
