UFI brings open seminar to South Africa

SOUTH AFRICA – International exhibition organiser association UFI will run an Open Seminar in South Africa for the first time next year.

Taking place from 15 to 17 March 2012 at the Cape Town International Convention Center, the event will be jointly organised by UFI Middle East and Africa (UFI MEA) and Manch Communications’ Expo Summit Africa.

The UFI MEA Open Seminar and Expo Summit Africa events aim to provide industry professionals with access to the African exhibition industry.

“Supporting the exhibition industry in Africa is one of UFI’s top priorities and we are glad to bring the UFI Open Seminar to Africa for the first time since the UFI MEA regional office was established five years ago,” said UFI MEA regional manager Ibrahim Alkhaldi.

With increasing international interest in the African industry, coupled with the need of the domestic market to foster ties with the international exhibition community and open new channels for business, UFI hopes the event will deliver timely information and networking opportunities to its delegates.

In its 7th Global Barometer Survey, UFI confirmed a return to gross turnover for most exhibition industry companies.
