New exhibition for Oman industry

OMAN - A new Omani exhibition is taking place at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on 20-22 September.

Infra Oman 2011, an international exhibition focusing on Oman and its industries, showcases major projects in infrastructure, tourism, power and water, health infrastructure, industrial, oil and gas, and telecommunications, and residential developments.

Typical exhibits include building materials, heavy equipment, construction supplies, engineering and consultancy services, architectural services and other products and services necessary for the successful implementation of an infrastructure project.

"Infra Oman 2011 is primarily intended to give contractors and developers an opportunity to present their projects and achievements while providing them with a one-stop shop for sourcing all their project requirements," said Salim Omar Al Hashmi, CEO of organiser Al Nimr Expo.

Exhibitors that have already confirmed their participation include companies from the UAE, Iran, China, Korea, Turkey and Germany.

The international exhibition has a special focus on affordable housing development and airport build and supply.

The Oman Government started the New Year with a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Oman Convention and Exhibition Center in Muscat.
