GERMANY – Despite an overall drop in visitor numbers, Reed Exhibitions’ Showtech theatre technology exhibition saw a significant increase in international attendees.
Although the previous edition of the biennial show saw several hundred more visitors, Reed claims the proportion of international visitors grew from one in 20 in 2009 to almost one in three in 2011. Final unaudited visitor and exhibitor numbers stand at 7,520, and 322 respectively.
Showtech ran from 7 to 9 June 2011 at the Berlin Exhibition Centre, and will next take place from 18 to 20 June 2013 at the same venue.
Earlier this month, Reed Exhibitions acquired the ITCA European travel catering exhibition from the International Travel Catering Association. The next edition of that event will take place from 27 to 29 March 2012 in Hamburg.
