Joyce DiMascio joins EEAA as General Manager

AUSTRALASIA - The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has appointed the former Head of Business Events Australia (BEA), Joyce DiMascio, as the association’s new GM.

As Head of BEA at Tourism Australia, DiMascio, led the rebranding of Australia as a place for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. She was also Director of Marketing Communications at Tourism New South Wales for over six years, where she developed advocacy campaigns for peak member organisations including TTF Australia and Tourism Industry Council NSW.

“DiMascio’s extensive industry and government experience will greatly strengthen the ability of EEAA to raise the profile of the event sector, and ensure our issues are heard in the right places by the right people,” said Matthew Pearce, President of the EEAA.

DiMascio succeeds Margaret Crichton who is leaving EEAA to take up a position at Circulations Audit Board, overseeing measurement and audit compliance of the exhibition industry.
