AIM Expo joins Pack Expo in Las Vegas

USA - The Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM) has announced its AIM Expo 2011, scheduled for 26-28 September at the Las Vegas Hilton will co-locate with the long-running Pack Expo Las Vegas.

AIM expo launched in 2010, and includes the AIM Expo conference which provides opportunities for those exploring and learning about automatic identification technologies such as bar code, RFID, RTLS and enterprise mobile computing.

Pack Expo Las Vegas draws 25,000 attendees every year, held alternately in Las Vegas and Chicago. The new agreement enables Pack Expo producer PMMI to promote both events as a valuable package for attendees of both shows.

"We are excited to partner with PMMI to provide this opportunity to continue and expand the Association's educational mission,” said AIM Expo chairman Chuck Evanhoe. “The type of solutions-driven education we provide as an industry trade association enables us to deliver a solid, unbiased program that cuts across industry and technology boundaries."

"The event will address the need for ongoing education about the use of bar codes, RFID, and mobile computing technologies. The addition of a packaging track this year should be of interest to the broad audience of Pack Expo attendees."

This year's Pack Expo leadership lecture will be delivered by retired US general Colin Powell, and is themed ‘Automatic identification and mobility solutions: advancing knowledge, exploring technology and driving efficiency’.

In march Tarsus-owned Labelexpo Global Series announced it was to launch a new event in Cape Town to focus on the growing African label and package printing market.
