London event launch for global exhibition logistics specialists

UK - A new event for international event logistics specialists is being launched in London.

Event Logistics Live (ELL) takes place at Excel London from 1 to 3 June 2011 with more than 160 attendees, 60 more than initially expected. The figure includes representatives from 37 countries.

ELL is being launched by Tfconnect, organiser of the international organiser CEO event Global Event Summit. Tfconnect MD Trevor Foley told EW he was approached by senior players in the event logistics sector three months ago to create a similar event serving the logistics sector.

“The downside was a need to do so from scratch in just three months; no name, no website, no nothing!” he said. “However, the event has clearly captured a gap in the market.”

Excel has responded to the increased size of the event by providing a larger space, the Platinum Suite, to accommodate growing registrations.

“We want to expand our worldwide network of agents to keep pace with the globalisation of the events industry,” MD of event sponsor CEVA Showfreight Phil Powell, said. “This event not only gives us the chance to meet with companies we rarely see but there are also key individuals and fellow specialists attending that I don’t know... and I’ve been in the industry for 35 years.”

The conference has been specifically designed to be interactive and inspirational and is targeted at freight forwarders keen to connect with peers, raise their profile, extend their network, learn and do business.
