SPAIN - The Madrid Trade Fair Institution IFEMA is getting into the spirit of energy exhibition Genera 2011 by providing electric vehicle recharging points for visitors.
The international energy and environment trade fair is due to take place between 11 and 13 May at the Feria de Madrid (pictured).
A spokesman for the event said the recharging points demonstrates that “IFEMA seeks to promote a sense of respect for the environment”, as well as demonstrate its support for the energy efficiency policies and clean powering being discussed in the exhibition halls.
The main objective of the event is to create a meeting forum for companies, research institutes, universities and other organisations actively engaged in the renewable energy sector.
The recharging points adapt to the needs of both car users and motorcyclists, as well as users of electric bicycles.
The summer edition of the Madrid International Fashion Fair (SIMM), also held at Feria de Madrid, has been pushed back to re-occupy its original slot in September.
