Former William Reed manager takes over FESPA exhibition position

UK - Former William Reed exhibitions director Neil Felton has been appointed the new global MD of printing trade association FESPA’s exhibition and events division.

Felton will now direct the association’s portfolio of events including its FESPA 2013 London event, FESPA Digital 2012 in Barcelona, FESPA Asia 2011 in Singapore, FESPA Mexico (2011 and 2012) and FESPA Americans 2012 in Miami. He reports directly to CEO Nigel Steffens and all exhibition sales, operations, marketing and events will report into him.

Felton most recently spent six years with William Reed as executive director of exhibitions and managed 21 staff. Prior to that, he was with Penton Media Europe for eight years and was in charge of its top two shows.

“I'm delighted to be joining FESPA at such an exciting time in the organisation's history,” Felton said. “I have always relished directing exhibitions that serve specific business sectors and their stakeholders, and I'm enthusiastic about getting to know and understand theglobal wide-format print community that FESPA serves.

"FESPA's growth in the last six years has been phenomenal, yet in several regions and market segments this is only the tip of the iceberg.  Undoubtedly there are still untold opportunities for FESPA to bring together print service providers and their suppliers, and tocreate environments where the community can share its collective technical and commercial knowledge and expertise.”

Felton replaces Frazer Chesterman, who is leaving FESPA for a non-competitive event organisation.
