NürnbergMesse China to launch new automotive exhibition

CHINA - NürnbergMesse China and the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) are planning a new tradeshow for the Chinese international automotive industry.

The FISITA 2012 Exhibition will run alongside the FISITA 2012 World Automotive Congress from 27 to 29 November in Beijing. It is being staged by the Federation of Internationale des Societes d’Ingenieurs des Techniques de I’Automobile and hosted by SEA-China. The biennial congress has been running since 1947.

According to NürnbergMesse China, the new event will be distinctive from other established car shows by focusing on the full supply chain for automotive engineering and production including energy efficient vehicles, transmissions, electronics and manufacturing technologies. The exhibition organiser also runs events in related industries such as electronics, automation, case and moulding and embedded systems.

The launch of the show in China comes as the country cements its position as the largest manufacturing base and market for cars and trucks globally.

NürnbergMesse China’s parent company, NürnbergMesse, reported record results in 2010 with revenues of over €200m (US$262m) and net profits of €7m. Its China subsidiary was established in 2007.
