AUSTRALIA – Elizabeth Rich, chief executive of promotional body Business Events Council of Australia (BECA), will retire from her role at the end of June this year.
Rich has led the organisation since its founding 17 years ago.
“She has made a remarkable contribution to the business events industry both nationally and globally over many years,” said BECA chairman Leigh Harry. “The industry is significantly better understood and recognised because of her constant and passionate contribution during this period.”
“There are many challenges still ahead for the industry and BECA will continue to play a key role representing all industry participants particularly with federal and state governments," he continued.
